The skin reflects how we live, which is why a one size fits all approach doesn’t always work….
For over two decades, I worked hands-on as a holistic skin health practitioner, supporting people with persistent and complex skin conditions through natural, whole-body approaches. Over time, my work became increasingly specialised as I saw more clients whose skin was no longer responding to either conventional or natural solutions.
As cases being labelled “hormonal acne” increased, I began to notice a disconnect. The drivers I was observing in practice did not align with the explanations being shared online, and important pieces of the picture were being overlooked.
That realisation led me to step away from full-time clinic work and return to study, while consolidating my clinical experience into a new educational framework. This work became KD-SI™, a pattern-based approach designed to help people understand what their skin is responding to and how to support it more accurately. KD-SI™ is accessed through an online educational portal called THE HOLISTIC SKIN DETECTIVE.
How I work now
Today, my work focuses on helping people understand the behaviour of their skin rather than chasing symptoms.
I continue to work one-on-one with clients who want deeper insight into their skin, either in person or online. This work may include customised skincare, identifying lifestyle and environmental factors contributing to breakouts, and helping clients recognise the patterns behind their skin’s responses.
A central part of my approach is food as medicine, not as a trend or set of rules, but as a traditional and practical way to reduce strain on the body. Having trained in traditional systems that use spices, herbs, and food therapeutically, I support clients to move beyond “clean eating” and toward eating in a way that suits their individual constitution and skin pattern.
During my time as a hands-on therapist, I observed that many complex skin conditions, including certain acne types, are consistently driven by specific triggers. These patterns require different protocols, including different ways of eating. Through KD-SI™, I teach people how to eat around their triggers, so the body can regain capacity and the skin can settle.
If you are struggling with acne, or breakouts that won’t go away then you can access this self guided training today HERE
I believe we need to relearn how we live if we want to calm both our skin and what are often perceived as hormonal imbalances. When lifestyle inputs are adjusted with intention, the skin often responds without the need for escalation.
How to begin
If you would like one-on-one support, you’re welcome to book a complimentary 20-minute discovery call to explore whether working together is the right next step.
If you’re experiencing persistent breakouts and are unsure whether they are being driven by external or internal factors, I recommend starting with my free external triggers checklist. This resource helps you rule out common surface-level contributors before looking inward.
Both options are designed to help you move forward with clarity, rather than guesswork.
